The goal was to make a peace pole that will last millennia, capture some of the "cool" of copper patina, but with less cost. I worked on that for years before making this one.
The one above is for the City of Centralia, Washington. The one below was the final prototype I made before it. I like the brighter corners of the prototype. So I'm still working on the one above to give it that (last week of May 2019).
It is 10 feet 10 inches long with the cap. With 20 inches buried it stands 9 feet tall. The 4 inch sides are a true 4 inches wide, not the 3.5 inches of a wooden 4 by 4.
Mandarin, English and Hindi are shown on these two peace poles. I have 160 translations from which to choose, but always have been able to get translations for languages I don't have.
