In Jericho's occupied West Bank hundreds of children from schools run by the United Nations formed this image of Picasso's Peace Dove in a place that normally is a focal point for conflict. The Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East, Filippo Grandi, said: The world needs to sit up and listen to the youth of this region. "Their message of peace is essential. It is the voice of the next generation." This 2011 work was organised by artist John Quigley who regularly creates aerial images like this.
