Peace GraffitiIn developmentI am creating stencils that will allow you to be put text on poles or on the ground or on grass or dirt or on pavement. The stencils are indefinitely reusable. They can be used with spray-chalk to leave temporary peace messages on pavement that will be removed by the rain. Or they can be used with more permanent marking products for more durable installations on poles or on the ground (on your own property or property where you have permission to use it). If it is put where, say, foot traffic wears it, the stencil can be used again to refresh it in the future. My thought is that some people might want this for specific events, possibly including the planting ceremonies around their peace poles. But I can think of situations in which this could be more interesting than a pole. I'm have been working for a while to figure out how to make characters that don't look like they were made with stencils. Now that I have the technique worked out, creating the artwork that accomplishes that is time-consuming. The artwork for the stencil of this one Chinese character took more than an hour. Stencils for translations using the Roman alphabet will be faster, I think, but it will be a while before many of these are ready. I posted this here now for someone with a specific need. I think the stencils will cost $25 each. If you are making your own peace pole, this is one way to put the text on it. When it is time to repaint in 8 or 10 years, you have the means to do it.
